The HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 all in one wireless printer has copier, colour printing and fax functionality. Included is 10.9 inch touchscreen display an easy to use menu system, so that the user can configure the general functions. The printer can be configured with HP’s JetAdmin management menu system which has a complete suite of tools for network printers.

Connect the HP 8740 through NFC, wireless direct, wireless, ethernet network cable or USB cable The 8740 will print up to 24 pages per minute in up to 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution. Scan through the document feeder with single double sided scanning action. Prints from smart phones and tablets using available mobile apps like HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud print. The standard paper tray has a capacity of 250 sheets and the multipurpose paper tray will hold 150 pages. Optional paper tray(s) are available with a capacity of 500 sheets. HP advise a duty cycle of up to 30000 pages per month Recommended page volume is between 250 – 2000 pages per month. Password secured print mode ensures privacy for sensitive documents. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 is an EnergyStar compliant product.

HP manufacture two capacities of ink cartridges to suit the OfficeJet Pro 8740. The standard capacity black ink cartridge yields up to 1000 pages. The standard colour cartridges print up to 700 pages from each cartridge. The high capacity black ink cartridge has a quoted yield up to 3000 pages and up to 1600 pages from each high capacity colour cartridge.

Page yields are dependent upon the coverage and nature of the printed pages. All quoted page yields are declared as per the manufacturers stated yields and with the ISO/IEC standard. Genuine HP ink cartridges are covered by their normal limited consumables warranty.
